Dr. Cristina E. Cicogna

 
Dr. Cristina Cicogna graduated from the Medical School of the University of Lausanne, Switzerland in 1986. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Medical Center in NYC, where she stayed on as chief resident in Internal Medicine for an additional year. She trained in Infectious Diseases at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in NYC. After two years in Public Health, working for the NYC bureau of tuberculosis control as physician-in-charge and outreach consultant, she joined the HUMC staff as hospital epidemiologist and infectious disease consultant. Dr. Cicogna has special interest and experience in the management of infectious diseases in the immuno-compromised host and acts as consultant to the service of oncology and bone marrow transplantation. Her other major interests include hospital epidemiology and infection control.
